Hey, I have encountered an irritating problem with the Garuda-Gnome version. It is unbearably slow. I have my specs listed here on the forums, so those should run the live env simply fine, but no.
Here's how I came to this conclusion:
Tried Garuda Gnome with nonfree drivers -> slow installer
Tried Garuda Gnome with free drivers -> slow installer
Finally tried Garuda Dr460nized with -> speedy installer, just as it should be.
I have checked the sha256 sums and used the same pendrive and USB port during all my tries.
Some of my other observations:
The chroot option simply doesn't work
When I finally managed to install Garuda Gnome, it did not install a bootloader and repairing it through the Garuda Gnome installer had no effect.
Well, I hope I will be some help to you, since I'm sure this is a problem with this specific SW-HW config, since I have tried the OS in VMware before and it was fine.
Thanks for reading have a nice day
Hey there, Im really not sure why that happens, not sure if a new iso solves this but you can try it
https://builds.garudalinux.org/iso/garuda/gnome/210202/garuda-gnome-linux-zen-210202.iso
Did you install GNOME in that as well?
Anyway, we need actual system information otherwise everything will be wild assumptions only

Hey,
Thanks for the reply, I installed Gnome first in a VM to check out the distro, and then I installed it on my main machine. Its specs are as follows:
i7 8096k, 16GB 2666 ram, 240 GB SATA3 SSD, for Garuda, And additional drives (2TB HDD, 2*512 nvme SSDs and 256 GB nvme ssd, and 480 gig SSD) My GPU is an NVidia GTX 1070.
Also, I installed the zen kernel and deleted the other, so now I only rock the linux-zen.
A strange bug I found is, that I don't see any wallpapers in gnome settings..
