Hi there, welcome to the forum.
I’m not a Cinnamon user (KDE instead has its own packages for that) but it seems to me that the solution below could work there:

Thanks for the quick reply..

That might work for adding google drive, but I am trying to add my google calendar so it appears on the cinnamon calerndar (lower right corner of the taskbar).

I did that in manjaro by adding the google account in online accounts. and then appointments would show up in the calendar.

Any suggestions for that?

There is a Cinnamon "Desklet" that may be worth checking out:

The GitHub page and the AUR package look like they haven't been updated in a while, but then again that doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. The page linked appears to have been updated just last month, and that same person maintains the AUR package.

Thanks.
That one looks ok, but I had it before where I could click on the date/time in lower right of taskbar, and it brought up my calendar. It integrates with gnome calendar. I can lookup events and add events right from there...

But when I bring up gnome calendar and try to login, it won't let you type anything.

It brings up the online accounts window and when I click on google account, it brings up the signup window, but does not allow you to type anything.

I also tried to copy the .config/goa-1.0/accounts.conf file from a working manjaro installation to my garuda installation.

It brought the credentials over, but said the signin has expired and I need to signin again. Once again, it brings up the online accounts window and does not let me type anything.

Any other suggestions?

(I would add a picture, but my account is too new to add images.)

I have a recent Cinnamon install as well and I tried to set this up in an attempt to reproduce this, but in my case everything is working normally.

gnome-online-accounts is installed by default. In my case, it works fine. Typing into the login window works as expected.

I was able to sign into a Google account and it shows up on the Online Accounts page.

I signed in to the Google account online and added an event to the calendar (test):

That didn't do anything at first, because I discovered gnome-calendar is not installed. After installing it, when I click on the calendar it opens up and shows my event when I click on tomorrow.

Do you have the normal version of gnome-online-accounts installed, from the [extra] repo?

pacman -Ss gnome-online-accounts
extra/gnome-online-accounts 3.46.0-1 [installed]

It looks like it is something with my installation. I installed on another machine and everything works fine. Now I need to figure out why it doesn't work with my install.
