󰛓 ❯ gammastep
Error: Could not control gamma, exiting.
Error: Failed to start adjustment method: wayland

Man Nvidia get your control app to work on Wayland already..
.So, I notced it says unspecified aftter graphics server, but info center says it is Wayland. Indx hhas
Display: unspecified server: X.Org v: 24.1.9 with: Xwayland v: 24.1.9

:down_arrow:

Why doesn’t this work with Wayland compositors like Mutter, KWin, Mir, and Enlightenment?
This program supports the wlroots protocol for gamma adjustments, but several Wayland compositors do not support this protocol. GNOME and KDE have their own built-in mechanisms for adjusting color temperature on Wayland.

This is a output if you do it with sudo garuda-inxi if i am right . Do it without sudo will change it . (sudo = root and not user output).

Display: unspecified server: X.Org

Do it without sudo, that would leave importent info out right?

kwin_wayland

??

No it would not let important stuff out. It just gives more details about the PC but just very little ones. Example: Serial number or S.M.A.R.T ( Passed the Health Check).

I am not current on KDE, but doesn’t KDE have a baked in way of controlling “night mode” or gamma value?

Night mode, yes Gamma, no in Wayland.

Oh sorry.
