Sorry for not putting everything in at once. Multitasking in a the dark while doing family time.

poking around, katawa-shoujo-bin in AUR appears to be working so that could be a possible replacement

The package itself doesn't exist on AUR so it might have been removed for this reason lately.

I see that katawa-shoujo is based on renpy and could be used as replacement? @rinchen

That's what was thinking @dr460nf1r3. The -bin specifically because the base package fails to compile.

They additionally require python2, which we dropped some time ago due to being EOL. I guess that's also the reason why renpy itself is missing.
