Frequent Latte Dock Crashes

Hello,

I'm experiencing frequent latte dock crashes. It happens quite frequently and seemingly randomly. Today I ran it in console, and captured some crash output below. Is anyone else having frequent issues? I let it slide for a while using the nohup launch, and now i don't know where the problem started so probably no use in going back using a snapshot or playing with pacman to uninstall files in recent log. Any tips appreciated!

Additional crash info from KDE Crash Handler. I don't have some packages, so it's telling me it's not useful, I don't know enough about latte dock to troubleshoot this myself, and it looks like the maintainer is no longer with the project? :frowning:

Quickly like that I would suggest to try out latte-dock from whatever repo BUT “Garuda”, latte-dock from “Garuda” repo and latte-dock-git from whatever repo.

If you’re lucky, at least one of them would work.
Alternatively you can always submit a bug report at bugs.kde.org under the lattedock application.

Latte dock is out of development and for this no longer compatible with acutely KDE Plasma releases
https://www.phoronix.com/news/Latte-Dock-Ends

It's nice to look at, nice to have, but unnecessary if you use your computer productively.
If it goes away, M$ 11 will look even more like KDE.

And as always, life goes on and on until it's over.

Since the development of latte-dock ended, can we officially substistute it with cairo-dock? Just watched a video of Distrotube that talks about eol of latte and a way to substitute it with cairo, which could be a valid option.

Development didn’t end entirely. Main developer left but KDE forked and adopted the project. Garuda’s pretty dock isn’t going anywhere.

aaaaaaaand i realize after switching from latte dock to stock plasma launcher panels that i'm a total latte fangirl.

gonna try installing from other repos now...

I swear i've seen one other from the czech republic maybe?

Nah, not at all! Gotta pay more attention :yum:

Same here, I just can’t live without it anymore. It’s just so convenient and full of features (my favorite example: dragging windows by just dragging the top bar!) :innocent:

Yes I think it’s “Maynne”. Not tagging her.

BTW i cannot live without latte-dock as well.
