I used garuda-update -a, and under :: Retrieving packages...
on the first line, there was this:
linux-firmware-20240809.59460076-1-any 42.3 KiB 107 B/s --:-- [C o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o ] 0%
I copied this after the update finished, meaning it probably never downloaded
I have Lenovo Yoga 14IAP7, can someone please tell me if this means something important?
I’ll post garuda-inxi after reboot

This is a normal firmware package, although flagged out of date (means it will be further updated soon due to newer upstream version):
https://archlinux.org/packages/core/any/linux-firmware/
What’s the problem with it?
The linux-firmware package is a collection of binary firmware files provided by hardware manufacturers so that the Linux kernel can support their hardware.

the problem is that it looks like it didn’t download at all, look at the progress bar

That was probably a graphical glitch, otherwise your inxi would show a partial upgrade.
What do you get with
pacman -Ss linux-firmware | grep installed
?
And maybe
cat /var/log/pacman.log | grep 'linux-firmware'
