Seems firewalld or …?

I edit you post for better reading.

In my opinion, you can ignore the fact that the firewall is shown as deactivated in the kde system settings and a timeout occurs as an error if you try activate this. As long as the firewall widget shows the firewall as enabled, everything should be fine.

You can also check the status yourself:

systemctl status firewalld

But you can’t set rules via this nice looking GUI

Thanks sir

The command shows it is active (running) ,thanks sir

The firewall settings in plasma are just a GUI frontend for firewalld / ufw and have not been working properly for ages. If you activate the firewall, the next time you check it it will be shown as deactivated again. That was already the case in Plasma 5. And it doesn’t matter that a new bug has been added - it doesn’t affect the function of the firewall. And as @SGS already said, you can easily create rules with it and don’t need the terminal.

Besides…who needs rules :joy:

So far, it does not work for me

You can also create rules with firewall-config…that is the GUI of the firewall-applet
