Firefox refuses to connect to the internet after i uninstalled free download manager

Everything was fine until i uninstalled free download manager. Now Firefox will not connect to the internet any more. i did remove the FDM extension. Still no luck. Luckily Firedragon was unaffected.

Hi there, please tell how did you install as well as how did you uninstall free download manager.
Copy and paste exact commands here.

Also, you may try reinstalling the Firefox and rebooting first.

i installed free download manager through setup assistant and i uninstalled it through the pamac- manager. Reinstalling Firefox did not work, it did not purge the old installation configuration files, (i uninstalled it with pamac.) Neither did reinstalling free download manager fix the problem.
