CUPS is installed. When I try the Print app, I get the "Firefox can’t establish a connection at localhost:631.

I need to use my printer. I do have Ethernet network.

What about if you select the No proxy In the settings?

Tried it. Same result.

systemctl status cups.service
systemctl status cups.service
○ cups.service - CUPS Scheduler
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.service; disabled; preset: disabled)
     Active: inactive (dead)
TriggeredBy: ○ cups.socket
       Docs: man:cupsd(8)

Tried enabling it

systemctl enable cups.service
Created symlink '/etc/systemd/system/printer.target.wants/cups.service' → '/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.service'.
Created symlink '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/cups.service' → '/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.service'.
Created symlink '/etc/systemd/system/sockets.target.wants/cups.socket' → '/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.socket'.
Created symlink '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/cups.path' → '/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.path'.

Still the same result.

Take a look here for getting started with CUPS: CUPS - ArchWiki

Then enable and start cups.service or alternatively use socket activation to only start CUPS when a program wants to use the service.

systemctl enable --now cups.service

It worked! Thanks ever so much.

Installed print-manager, and all is well.
