Firedragon; changing / setting proxy in Firedragon does not work?

New here to the Forum; not working with Garuda as yet; started out with the Firedragon browser, Firefox fork. Works really well! Orienting on Garuda to install to my system now!

But … issue, not able to find back via Google, nor here on the Community forum; when I try to change proxy settings in Firedragon to ‘system-proxy’, shutdown Firedragon and restart Firedragon; ip.me gives me the same ip address value compared to chosing the ‘None’.

Meaning:

Having done the above, I started the ‘carburetor program’ to give me an outside of the country ip address.

Then I restart Firedragon (with the system-proxy setting active) but still then ip.me gives me my local ip address within my country.

If I do the very same things in Firefox, I DO see the outside country ip address meaning in ‘regular firefox’ the system-proxy IS picked up after carburetor activation, whilst Firedragon does NOT. Helium browser, another Firefox fork, DOES see the difference as well…

What can be changed / adapted in Firedragon to make it notice the difference in ‘system-proxy’ after having started carburetor, changing my ip address?

Thank you.
