There is a small problem with the file manager. When I am opening a mounted cloud drive it crashes. I admit that the drive has pictures and a lot of files, but I’ve done it in Garuda Draginized with no issues. Somehow in Hyprland it breaks. If I navigate with the terminal, no issues. I thinks it’s a bug… I don’t know.

Small note: Can anyone direct me to where I can leave feedback and comments for Garuda Hyprland? I LOVE this flavor and I would love to help with some ideas and bring up issues/bugs like this in hope that it can get fixed.

Thunar?

I use Dolphin in Hyprland.
Can you check with Dolphin?

I move it to Hyprland | Community but Thunar is unsopported

The general thing with WMs is that it is just a WM, and we just choose and add the things of third party softwares to make it usable, if you find thunar not working for you then you should try Dolphin or nautilus , even these don’t work then maybe cutefish and deepin filemanager (I would recommend to always back up your important docs before doing such things)

That’s all I can say

I just installed dolphin and it works like a charm. No crashes no nothing. Thanks!

I would recommend shipping with dolphin since it is much more stable(giving it is the default for Dragonized as well for the sake of consistency).

For removing thunar just sudo pacman -R thunar?

Then mark @SGS as Solution please .

YES

Personally, I would never uninstall Thunar.
Just recently there were problems with Dolphin because of empty “open with” in Dolphin in Hyprland.

Nowadays we have enough storage to be prepared for all eventualities, I also use Kate and Geany together, depending on what I need at the time.

I see your point of view. I am a dev too. But one thing that I learned is that users first want ONE good thing that works. Then if others come along, even better.

For my case, installing Dolphin was good enough. So thanks for help! Maybe a fix for Thunar will come in the near future and my recommendation will be pointless

To clarify, I am not and will never be a developer, my knowledge is not sufficient for that.
I maintain i3wm and hyprland, nothing more and nothing less.
