When trying to update the 2 files it fails with a "Failed to generate a gvfs-smb-git information" error displayed. Any possibility this can be corrected or is there something I'm not doing right.
Follow the forum template and post the whole error logs first.

Why are you using gvfs-git
and gvfs-smb-git
, there are packages in the repo for that.
pacman -Rnsdd gvfs-git gvfs-smb-git && pacman -S gvfs gvfs-smb
, fixed
They were installed automatically in Pamac when i installed evince but thank you for the terminal commands they did the trick and fixed it. I did not intentionally install the git ones they were pulled in by something else when i installed evince but as to what did that its beyond my abilities to determine. ill mark this as solved if it will let me I'm still learning so please be patiient
