First thing to try is, restart the system, it’s KDE

Ok, I tried that, and this has been going on for a week or so, and I shut the system down entirely every day after use. But I’ll try again.

Have you already tried removing and reinstalling / rebuilding pronterface (/ printrun?) ?
Next thing to do if the problem persists would be to enter a comment in the AUR (assuming you installed that package):
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/printrun
Or even upstream, if you built from there:

yes, I thought I did when this issue first appeared, but I’ll remove and reinstall and see how it goes, and if that still doesn’t work I’ll make a comment on the AUR page for PrintRun.

Thanks
