It is OK. I see that gnome-network-displays has been recently rebuilt in the Chaotic-AUR, so that one should be also OK.
I doubt this will help, but it is something it is always worth trying (reinstalling).
I have to wait for another day back to school to verify if itās all ok.
Anyway, thanks all for the advices and the helpā¦
Try connecting your cel phone via USB and see if you can cast using your cel.
Although not that likely testing alternate kernels canāt hurt.
Gnome network displays requires p2p mode which is provided by your Wifi driver. As your Wifi adapter is an Intel model there is an outside chance that the kernel or the linux-firmware
version could affect this feature. Just in case, try installing the linux-firmware-git
package. You could also try downgrading the linux-firmware
to a version that was in use when you know your screen casting was last working. After making any changes to your linux-firmware
version be sure to reboot.
Try installing gnome-network-displays-git
, probably would be best to reboot after installation.
Wouldnāt hurt to try disabling MAC address randomization, (and reboot).
Are you running a firewall, if so is there an entry for āP2P-WiFi-Displayā (or similar), and is it set to āallowā the connection?
Hello,
