Errors loading applications, can't update system due to file conflicts

Hello,

I have only used Garuda for a few months, rarely updated due to this problem or pursued the problem because of Wi-fi issues. I'm new to Linux altogether and I'm aware of the train-wreck that is my system. After failing to update my system multiple times due to the same problem,

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)

I started manually updating software via the application manager, restarted my system, and my Application Launcher, Notifications, and Task Manager stopped working

Well I wonder why your applications don't work :^)

Booting a snapshot and restoring it from the grub bootloader submenu "Garuda Snapshots".

Then consider why you need ttf-google-fonts-git and if you could potentially choose other packages to replace it. The ttf-google-fonts-git package has not been updated in a long time. After replacing the package with another, you should have no problems applying updates. Avoid options such as --overwrite, that is definitely the wrong way to solve this.

Thanks, i was able to use an older snapshot, but how do i find a new one and replace it

Try to remove the package and read the removal error carefully if there is one. It should mention a package name or two that it might require. Install them all at once via pacman -S and confirm that you want to replace the Google package.

I found the packages via sudo pacman -Rns ttf-google-fonts-git, and tried installing them, but the files were still being conflicted

If you have onlyoffice installed, remove it and try again, then use libreoffice instead
