Epson WF-4820 printer does not install to USB port

Unfortunately my printer does not install, I installed the correct drivers epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 from the AUR but it does not show up.

same result with both drivers

octopi use paru

It installs with yay from the command line here, i've given you the commands could not be easier i'm just wasting my time with you.
You are now on your own

???
I installed from command line with yay, as you recommended , but you ask me which helper my octopi used ... thats all.

I also have a epson printer and it works wireless for me, i have done this:

First you need to install some software. Garuda(Arch Linux) doesn’t give you anything for free except a rock solid bare OS.

Here’s what you need to install:

sudo pacman -S cups ghostscript gsfonts libcups system-config-printer

After installing these you’ll want to enable and start the cups.service in systemd.

  • sudo systemctl enable cups.service
  • sudo systemctl start cups.service

Hello,

sorry for the late reply but I was once briefly on manjaro until the grub problem was solved.

I tried your suggestion but unfortunately that doesn't work either.

the printer is only recognized as network printer but not as local via USB.

Under Manjaro it worked fine which I don't understand.

Am just quite perplexed
