Last night, my desktop suddenly became a standard KDE desktop. with no dock at the bottom, and the start menu in the lower left corner.

I’d like to get it back. How do I do that?

Try right click on desktop and start editing mode, just close it.
If this not help, use add new bars or use garuda-assistant and restore (all?).

Sorry, I do not know the English labels, I translate it from German

First reboot, it’s KDE.

I got this.

Just after using flameshot the micro dock (the five color dots) went to normal size.

Rebooted, and the same. Reinstalled all the programs, and the same result.

If you go to system settings
Colors and Thems, Then Global Thems.
I believe if you select Dr460nized to your right you will get the default Dragonized setup like it is new.
That is if you want to reset it.

Still missing the dock. I try running Plank and it starts and it starts and disappears. I installed Latte and it doesn’t work either.

Hmmm.

plank
[CRITICAL 12:27:18.458988] [AbstractMain:255] Only X11 environments are supported.

Plank started under X11, but was not the Dr460inized version.

perhaps that could help…and if you spend a little bit time
delete /home/cache folder… relogin…and then ? yes…all fine
if not
add a new user…login in there …all fine…
if yes
you have several options
handmade
compare the both folders /home/$user/.config ( for advanced user)
or what SGS postet about garuda-assistent.
also

Plank an latte are dead. As in not getting updates. Latte might someday but the new dev is getting burnt out.

For now if you want a mac os dock with the magnification use crystal dock.

*It only works on wayland.

Though I recommend just using the built in kde one for now.

Thanks for the tip. Crystal dock is just what I needed.
