Double Window issue

Hey everyone,

I’m super new to Garuda (and Linux in general; I just started yesterday), so please bear with me if I ask stupid questions.

I was navigating Garuda and poking around with different configurations, just seeing what I could do within reason and just learning how Garuda/Arch Linux works. Well, I somehow created this double border situation for myself, and I have absolutely no clue how I did it or how to fix it :sweat_smile:. I had checked the forums for anyone with a similar issue, but from what I could see, the solution to those posts was unchecking the ‘Support borderless’ option within Latte Dock, which I have already done. My issue feels specifically different than the ones I came across on this forum, so I wanted to make a post about it and see if, hopefully, there is a fix to my learning (growing) pains with Garuda. Are you not using the most latest ISO or did you install Latte-dock later? Either way Garuda hasn’t used latte-dock in a long time now Dr460nized migration info | Garuda Linux wiki

I downloaded the ISO from this forum in the Garuda Linux “Raptor” post (Garuda Linux "Raptor" (230305)) using the first link under ‘Where to get it :eyes:’

This explains a lot; I had been watching (admittedly older) videos explaining how to navigate Garuda, and one mentioned how to configure/edit the Latte dock. Initially, I didn’t have it, so I thought I had done something wrong in my configuration. I grabbed it via the terminal, thinking Latte was supposed to be in my build. But that’s good to know; I’ll go through the steps of removing it.

Sorry, I don’t mean to be difficult, but I honestly have no clue what you mean by ‘code tags.’ Again, this is my first time using Garuda/Linux, so a lot of the very basic level terminology is still quite new to me. Would you mind explaining what you mean by code tags?

for long terminal output like garuda-inxi, be sure to select that part of the text of your post and hit the code tag option ( looks like </> )
Example of how it looks with code tags on output with multiple lines:

@BlueN3on I edited your inxi to put it in a code block if you want to see for yourself. Kayo is right, it is way easier to read that way.
