Dock is missing

I cant find my dock anymore. Dont know where it went.

  1. What DE are you using. I mean are you using GNOME or KDE etc;

  2. What dock are you using.

  3. Things do not just magically disappear. What have you done to cause it.

  4. This post will definetly get moved unlesa you give us more information

  5. It would help if you gave the information in the 1st place :wink:

DE = Gnome

I dont know I was just using the regular default dock

I was just coding and put my cursor down to activate the dock and It wasn't there

Ok! So the dock must be plank I'm assuming.

Run plank in terminal and see what happens.

Ah! He must've been running dash-to-dock! Sorry i thought it was plank!

You can of course use plank as a replacement for dash-to-dock. I dont find it as pretty as dash-to-dock but it serves its purpose well :slight_smile:

Thanks. I am using plank now since dash-to-dock was not working. Was able to configure it exactly how dash was. Just set the theme to transparent in plank settings (its hard to get to plank settings, click on the edge of the dock)
