Discussion - Is Wayland ready for the daily driver scene?

Well, I’d imagine using something straight up designed for Wayland is going to bring out it’s best traits. That’s not really bias, though. You’re using the tools that suit you and your experience with that is part of the overall sense of it’s readiness.

I’m not concerned about the future here. I have no doubts Wayland will reach the ready for prime time state at some point, because it does give some people a nice experience now. Just have to work out the issues that prevent it from being most people. We’re just not there yet, so far as I can tell.

I would like to know where you found FUD. His post clearly tells that they had to make a choice to lower burden and picked Wayland. The phrasing is harsh but his post mostly echoes what other developers say about Xorg, at least what I have seen in the past.
Disclaimer: I use KDE & Wayland on an Intel + Nvidia laptop. I can't use Xorg because of a bug in Nvidia driver. Yes, I meant Xorg, not Wayland.
