Discord screen sharing

I have a problem with sharing my screen in discord. I have scoured the internet for clues and solutions, and I have found out that on wayland it is “impossible” to do so. Then I found out the work around with xwaylandvideobridge. However I found out that it was installed by default on garuda dragonaized and launched on start up.

My problem is as follows:

I have downloaded discord through the garuda gamer. I joined my friends in a call and tried to share my screen. However when I try to share my screen Portal screen sharing pops up. When i choose the apolication/screen that I want to share it appears only under applications (even if it’s the whole screen), but then before I have the time to react and click share, the Portal screen sharing pops up again. No matter if I choose again, close it or just ignore it and try to share my screen, the screen share actually never loads. The pop up is almost instant and pretty annoying, In my understanding it is because Discord constantly searches for new applications and screens to share

What have I tried (In the order that they are listed):

Reinstalling all drivers that I could think of.
Reinstall discord.
Reinstall xwaylandvideobridge
Reinstall the whole OS
Try using webcord installed through Octopi (crashes after attempting to share screen)

Try the “vesktop” package, it’s a Discord web client with a few additions like themeing, it uses updated libraries so screen sharing works, I’ve had performance issues with sharing a single window but sharing the full screen works fine and you can share the audio of a single application.
