Gaming edition was installed in an old laptop but cant update for first time, also octopi doesnt allow to install packages
internet is ok

At the time of this posting, chaotic-aur is way too slow. It’s taking more than 5 minutes to show any type of error messages.

What is going on ? Should I wait about another 6 hours ?

We are aware of it since a while, but the possibilities for debugging it via phone didn’t bring anything useful yet sadly. Since I’m currently outside it might take a while for me to fix it.

Not sure if both of these steps were necessary, but I refreshed my mirrorlist & updated my keyrings via Garuda Assistant. This fixed the issue for me.

People reported it is working again a few minutes ago.
Either we have heroku doing funky things or an ongoing ddos, all other reasons are pretty much crossed out at this point.
