DaVinci Resolve 17 Doesn't start at all

hello am pardesi cat after did a research i finally able to fix the problem

oke 1 st you have to uninstall ur nvidia/amd -mesa drivers then simply install

" libxcrypt-compat "

type in console sudo pacman -S libxcrypt-compat

I had the same issue but I thought this is AMD GPU related.

But yes you need to get the crypt file for the GPU ... I wonder if it is the same error on an nVidia GPU :thinking:

EDIT: and Resolve tells you that the file is missing (at least in my case)...

i did it on nvidia 1050ti

what i did is i just located where its installed then i tried the run app in terminal where i saw whats actual error then i headed to internet after some research i found its included in libxcrypt-compat so i did and it worked :slight_smile:

It some cases no error message gets prompted. Those users are frankly clueless. :pensive:
