Criptext run error

Hi. Criptext does not start after installation. The "aur" and "appimage" versions will not start either. The icon appears in the panel but then disappears after a second. Will the application be available from the "chaotic-aur" repository??
What could be the problem?? Thanks in advance for your help.

Try running it from a terminal and see if you get an error there. If you do, share it here.

Moving it chaotic-aur probably won't help. That would be the same as the aur version, just prebuilt into a package.

EDIT: I just installed the AUR version and it seems to run. Let us know if you get an error when you run it from a terminal.

The situation is the same. It won't start either way.

What happens when you run it from the terminal? What does is output in the terminal?

Nothing. Does nothing and no error message.

If there is no output and no error message that implies it is working (or already running in the background).

If you suspect it is a bug in the software then you might want to talk to the software’s developers.

I stopped the running processes of criptext and this is what the terminal wrote;

couldn't lock 16384 bytes of memory (libgcrypt): Nem foglalható memória
{"level":"error","message":"Unhandled Rejection: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files","stac
k":"Error: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files","timestamp":"2021-08-09T11:11:46.564Z"}

The package has two optional dependencies:

gnome-keyring (gnome-keyring-git, pass-secrets-git) (optional) – for storing passwords in GNOME Keyring
org.freedesktop.secrets (keepassxc-kde-fix, gnome-keyring-git, bitw-git, pass-secrets-git, keepassxc-git, gnome-keyring, keepassxc) (optional) – for storing passwords

The gnome-keyring was the winner. It works perfectly now.
Thank you very much for your help! :grinning:
