Crashing when playing certain games

I have largely only been playing 2 games with my friends recently. The Finals (In GE-Proton 10.3) and Counter-Strike 2 which runs natively on Linux. However recently I’ve been experiencing my computer fully shutting down, and then on boot showing me an error message that varies a little from time to time. The following 2 are the most recent messages it provided.

So far what I’ve tried is switching from Endeavour to Garuda itself, then switching from the LTS kernel to the Zen3 kernel. I also reset my UEFI-BIOS to default settings, then tried ASUS “optimized defaults” both of which did nothing. Then I enabled DOCP, and clocked my ram to 3200 HZ as this is the ram speed advertised on the model (and the packaging). I’ve also already booted into MemTest86+ and did several passes where it found nothing.

hello and welcome

It looks like a CPU Problem. Do you overclocked a long time?

I haven’t intentionally overclocked at all, though ASUS Bios did come with an “AI Enhancer” that messed with the clock speed of my CPU, I disabled it and made sure anything and everything related to overclocking was off. I could try reflashing my BIOS from scratch to make sure.

I would also like to add that both of my RAM modules are installed in the A2, and B2 slots respectively when visually inspecting my motherboard, and using sudo lshw -C memory.

yes try please install the newest bios for your mainboard. I read many people have Problems with this CPU and mobos. I have Asus Rog Stix too but another CPU and mine is working fine

maybe it helps you too.

Please post your garuda-inxi as requested by the template.

The error description and the error message indicates that the CPU has too little voltage - probably due to age, the CPU has deteriorated over time and now requires slightly more voltage than before. First try to disable C-state in the BIOS (and disable PBO if available). Then test extensively whether the issue repeats itself. If the issue continues to occur, then increase the voltage of the CPU minimally.

Here is the output of my garuda-inxi. I have also disabled PBO, updated my BIOS and I believe I disabled the C-state correctly. I will now do some testing and keep you posted if the issue happens again. Thank you for the help so far!
