CPU temperature sensor not loaded after GOverlay use

Hi, new Garuda user here.
I just installed a few days ago and started customizing things. Today I installed GOverlay to hopefully fix MangoHUD not displaying my CPU power usage in games as I read that would solve it. I got it configured but that broke the temperature sensor in System Monitor. It doesn’t appear anymore. I ran sensors-detect and it doesn’t detect any temperature sensors, but I can still get output of my GPU temperature. What do I need to do to fix this?

My system is a Ryzen 7700x and Radeon 7900XT on an Asrock B650M PG Riptide.

Or install zenmonitor.

Installing zenmonitor appears to have fixed the problem.

Update: after a restart its gone back to not showing CPU temperature.

sensors work?

Ask devs of the app, or ask where you read it.

sensors just shows GPU and nvme sensors, not the CPU.

Did you see here also not the CPU?


I think it is CPU, Tdie and Tctl, but I am not expert and non gamer :slight_smile:

I can’t upload a screenshot for some reason but I just have core frequency and power readings, not cpu temperature.

From terminal you can post the text if needed.

uninstalling zenpower and zenpower 3 makes the cpu sensor show up again and persists after a reboot.
