Computer wakes up with a black screen

Hello. I’m Japanese and still learning English. Sorry if my English is difficult to understand.
I’m currently using Garuda Linux and when my PC monitor goes into sleep mode and I release it, Garuda becomes strange.
The display becomes strange or becomes completely black with only the mouse cursor visible.
It seems like you can’t turn sleep off on the monitor.
The monitor model is PHILIPS 436M6
Is there a solution on Garuda’s side?
Sorry for the long explanation

Try rebooting first and see if the issue persists. (The “↻” symbol means there is a pending reboot from a system update.)

Your BIOS version is very out of date. I would recommend updating to the latest version. Looks like a new version (19.01) just came out a couple days ago too.

Might want to look into using nvidia-open-dkms as some cards that are Turing or newer can experience issues without using it. Sadly, I don’t think Garuda has a way to automate this process yet.
(Nvidia themselves recommends using nvidia-open-dkms on those recent cards, and the Arch Wiki has been updated in recent months to reflect that NVIDIA - ArchWiki )

Adding to all of the mentioned fixes , you may try a different kernel as well since I have solved sleep-suspend related issues by changing kernels back and forth in the past.

Try: sudo pacman -S linux linux-headers after trying the mentioned fixes.

English is ok so no need to say sorry. The fact that you immediately added your garuda-inxi is a great help!

Also, not a long reply at all. You explained with the important info required to help.

The replies you recieved should help. If not, let us know :sunglasses:
