I already rebooted once and tried the same steps, but garuda-update still gives the same error
So at least we used the correct ESP…

Try
rm /var/lib/pacman/db.lck
When you’re inside chroot again, before retrying garuda-update.
But there must be something else wrong…

Well, after removing rm /var/lib/pacman/db.lck garuda-update is working. Now I’m waiting for it to finish its magic.
I got one million Can't set permissions to 0777 warnings during the update.

Maybe you could try working in the grub rescue in the same way.
Probably for you hd1 instead of hd0 and /dev/nvme0n1p2 instead of sda2.
I know it can be hard.

Thanks @filo for all the help, my system is finally working.
The last issue was that the nvme boot order suddenly was incorrect.
I changed the order and now it’s booting on Linux. But now Windows does not appear on the Grub
If I put Windows as first option on boot order, it does boot on Windows. But no grub appears.
When Linux is first option on boot order, it does boot on Linux, but Windows does not appear on grub.
If UEFI OS (ADATA SX8200PNP) is the first option, it shows the black screen with the same error as the original post.

Boot your Linux system, open a terminal and execute the following command: sudo update-grub
