Cntl+alt+f3 combination on dell laptop

I found that cntl+alt+f3 does not work on my laptop. If you ever needed to log in to tty3 on a hung boot you might need this key combination.

On my Dell Inspiron 15 I had to also press the fn key so the key combo I needed on my machine is cntl+fn+alt+f3, just posting it in case someone else searches the forums for this kind of issue.

Good idea! Thanks.
Although this would not be a problem to anyone, IF they have read vendor’s User Manual, where this info is explained.
For example, my laptop’s BIOS has a setting to use normal Fn keys, or QuickAccess keys with Fn .
