Cleanup dotfiles

I use xdg-ninja and antidot to cleanup dotfiles. Then add the environment variables given by xdg-ninja in ./local/share/antidot/env.sh and then add the command given by antidot (antidot init) in .profile.

I could not remove .xsession-errors from $HOME. The xdg-ninja asked to add ERRFILE="$XDG_CACHE_HOME/X11/xsession-errors" to .xinitrc. But it has not worked. How do I remove .xsession-errors too?

Edit: do try both xdg-ninja and antidot. Although I warn something might break. I could not login before because of some mess with .Xauthority file having env variable.

Why you want it to remove?
Itā€™s always being recreated anyway.

Fine, they changed it to Xfce, but where is their garuda-inxi?

I want to change the location to XDG_CACHE_HOME. To reduce files in home as far as possible.

ls | grep .xsession-errors
.rw------- 932k sgs 18 Mai 19:49 ļ…› .xsession-errors

Really?

So we need your garuda-inxi

Remember.

Please post the terminal/konsole input and output as text (no pictures) from the the following command:

garuda-inxi

Refusing to post the output of the required ā€œgaruda-inxiā€ on a help request will likely result in you not receiving any help from the Garuda team. A failure to provide your system specs may also result in your thread being closed without notice, (as without this information providing assistance is often next to impossible).

Uninstall your desktop environment, remove all user profiles from the system, and just run your machine as a headless box. That will help you achieve the desired result.

If you want to use a desktop environment with a user profile, you are going to have to let the system have a few dotfiles. :man_shrugging:

Dude if you understood English youā€™d know ā€˜as far as possibleā€™ != ā€˜noneā€™. I never said I donā€™t want any.

Perhaps you are right; judging by this sentence, English appears to have changed a bit since I have been in school. :smirk:

Try adding this line to the config file at /etc/X11/Xsession instead of .xinitrc. Alternatively, if you want to disable logging you can make the line ERRFILE=/dev/null.
