Will try and see if I can get this fixed for you, but it will take quite a while.
Can you add this usefull program?
Advanced-Linux-System-Cleaning
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/advanced-linux-system-cleaning
that is on AUR but will be apreciated if you can add into chaotic-aur
Thanks!!
This is not appropriate to add for a multitude of reasons, this line being dangerous enough to deny directly. I strongly encourage you to use bleachbit instead.
In my mind bleachbit is only appropriate for advanced Linux users, as it usually causes more problems than it’s worth, (unless you really know what you’re doing).
We’ve had this debate many times on the forum, and the general concensus from most people is that system cleaners (especially BleachBit) are dangerous to use. Far better to manually remove any cruft cluttering your system.
I echo this sentiment wholeheartedly. I still don’t think bleachbit should be used in a general sense by anyone except in extenuating circumstances, but if it is, then it should be used directly rather than using aggressive presets in the script above.
I agree. Just let the cache cache… Only time I will remove something from there or the config folder is if I remove an app I know I’m not going to reinstall. And even then I sometimes forget to do it, and it’s whatever.
For a number of years, I have done a radio show with my laptop, and using Aqualung as a media player. Today, Aqualung wouldn’t start. I tried installing it, and the build failed.

Aborting…

It fails to build on my box. It would be wonderful if Aqualung, a gapless player, was in the Chaotic-AUR.
EXACTLY. I cringe every time someone suggest Blechbit to someone.
So I downloaded the source code, and successfully compiled and installed Aqualung.
Happy ending.
can you please add
Been watching vids about this, would love to see it added to Chaotic AUR:
Requesting the excellent Harbour Masters n64 PC ports(Harbour Masters · GitHub):

Not sure if this has been reported, I scrolled up a ways, didn’t see anything. This is an issue that concerns Chaotic AUR and kwin-effect-rounded-corner.git not working or showing up after a compile, yet the same version in AUR does work. I think something is missing or needs updated for Chaotic’s version.
Already done! And all confirmed working just a few mintues ago.
Looks like the latest updates to plasma killed kwin-effect-rounded-corners.git again. Not sure if it needs a refresh on your end, or waiting for an update from the rounded-corners crew.
Just installed and it and fBetterBlur are not in effects.
The same applies to kwin-effects-forceblur, which no longer works with kwin v6.5.1-1 either.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be looking into a better solution soon, e.g. by checking status via garuda-health and offering a rebuild in case the repo version is not yet bumped.
