When installing i3 i got stuck into loading while selecting the proprietary driver so I used open source. What is the difference and how do i switch to proprietary ?
If Nvidia, then to install (driver) would be (after install of system complete)-
sudo pacman -Syu
reboot
then
sudo dkms autoinstall
reboot and test if working nicely.
The difference is up to you.

One is open-source, the other is proprietary.
Use Garuda Hardware Manager.
