Hi all,
I recently switched from garuda cinnamon to dragonized which I am loving so far.
The one thing I am missing is that the cursor no longer jumps to the centre of the selected window after alt tabbing, as far as I understand this is difficult to do within wayland so I’m just wondering if anyone has a trick.
Thanks ![]()
Hi there, welcome to the forum.
Please post your garuda-inxi as requested in the topic template.
I’m not sure if I understand you correctly. Do you want the cursor to stay where it is when you switch between different windows using Alt + TAB, or do you want it to be centered? In KDE Plasma, the cursor stays where it is and does not jump to the center of the selected window. I’m not a Cinnamon expert, but in a quick test with Garuda Cinnamon in a VM, the cursor is not centered after switching with Alt + TAB either.

Thanks for your reply, I mean the latter. I believe it was not the default behaviour in Cinnamon, but it was available as a toggleable option somewhere in the window switching settings
Ah, I found it in Cinnamon. But I don’t know of any corresponding function or trick in KDE Plasma. However, I think it could be possible to solve this with a script.
Ah that’s good to hear! Any chance you can point me towards some resources I could use to write a script that can do this? I can code, I just have no idea where to start with KDE/Wayland scripting
Search the internet for KWin scripting. ![]()
