I randomly had a lockup when doing nothing out of the ordinary. Everything froze on screen, but I was able to keep talking in the Discord server I was in. I rebooted from another TTY after a short wait, and upon login everything froze immediately.
Things are still 'working' even when frozen though. I got a Telegram notification frozen of a mention once, and my keyboard RGB notifications are actively working, as well as an xbindkeys hotkey was able to trigger yakuake to start, though I couldn't see it outside of monitoring processes in another TTY. I also had Docker successfully started and running in the background.
Using a test user is fine, and nothing freezes at all. I once had a similar issue, and the solution was using Garuda Assistant and the all
checkbox to reset all configs.
What I've done so far:

nothing seems out of place - checked for failed services
- tried LTS kernel
- tried arch kernel
- tried lts kernel
- tried snapshots
- checked cpu/memory load
- checked disk health with
smartctl

So far my conclusion is that it's an issue with settings for my primary user, so how can I reset them from another user?
