I’m trying to make a package for quickgui after getting it successfully in the AUR repo. Here is the error im getting:

in repo: quickgui on  master took 31ms

Resolving dependencies… (1.4s)
Note: intl is pinned to version 0.18.1 by flutter_localizations from the flutter SDK.
See Flutter Pinned Packages · dart-lang/sdk Wiki · GitHub for details.

Because every version of flutter_localizations from sdk depends on intl 0.18.1 and quickgui depends on intl ^0.17.0, flutter_localizations from sdk is forbidden.
So, because quickgui depends on flutter_localizations from sdk, version solving failed.

You can try the following suggestion to make the pubspec resolve:

  • Try upgrading your constraint on intl: flutter pub add intl:^0.18.1
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

I’ve tried updating flutter to version 3.19.3 as well as rebooting the pc. Apparently this is a common issue but couldn’t find it in the other forums.

Reboot, swooshie sez

I have edited your post to put it into the correct output.

The first thing that appears is…

And this ‘swoosh’ indicates that a reboot is needed since your last update. Please do so now then try installing it with makepkg -si again.

If it fails, please post the error messages, etc. Don’t be terse; we need all the info you can give us, including your research results.

Is quickgui-bin an option, or are you trying to do your own development ?

“Is quickgui-bin an option, or are you trying to do your own development ?”

I couldn’t get quickgui-bin to work either. I’ve attempted to update flutter (and succeeded but it didn’t resolve the issue). I’m really just looking to use quickemu with a graphical interface. I’m pretty new to Garuda cinnamon and arch linux in general.

I think it just reposted my other paste. here is the error message :

makepkg -si
==> Making package: quickgui 1.2.8-1 (Mon 11 Mar 2024 07:19:13 PM EDT)

Resolving dependencies… (1.2s)
Note: intl is pinned to version 0.18.1 by flutter_localizations from the flutter SDK.
See Flutter Pinned Packages · dart-lang/sdk Wiki · GitHub for details.

Because every version of flutter_localizations from sdk depends on intl 0.18.1 and quickgui depends on intl
^0.17.0, flutter_localizations from sdk is forbidden.
So, because quickgui depends on flutter_localizations from sdk, version solving failed.

You can try the following suggestion to make the pubspec resolve:

  • Try upgrading your constraint on intl: flutter pub add intl:^0.18.1
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting…

Please

  • Format terminal output (including your garuda-inxi) as a code block by clicking the preformatted text button (</>) , or put three tildes (~) above and below the text

So there’s been no actual help on this topic. So i’m wondering where the pubspec.yaml is in flutter ?

The only flutter i can find is in /opt/flutter. Is this the flutter i should be going to input this command:

flutter pub add intl:^0.18.1

? Thanks.

I seem to be getting a different error now when trying to makepackage in the quickgui dir:

It seems to be a known problem.
In the AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/quickgui#comment-940144
And reported also upstream:

They have to take care of it…
The comment in the AUR says the -bin version in the AUR was working for them.
Maybe you can try again (maybe with a helper like paru) and continue on that route.

Ok so i got Quickgui-bin to load however after i download and attempt to run the virtual machine i get:

connect to spice

Hostname:localhost

Port: 5930

TLS Port (blank)

Recent Connections (Blank)

At the very bottom i get connect or cancel. If i click connect nothing happens and the same window appears no error message. Advice? I can’t post the screenshot since im a new user.

That is probably a known issue as well.

There might be some workaround, try to give a look, but it is important to notice in my opinion that the last commit in that project was on Dec 2022…
