Hi, Im new to linux. I like firedragon so far but since the update to 11.28.0-1 Ive been hit with the known issue of crashing out of youtube pages.
I tried to downgrade to 27 as suggested elsewhere on the forum with “sudo downgrade firedragon” but I just get the following

No results found
Unable to downgrade firedragon

Then I tried to install the new version 12 firedragon beta which works on youtube on a new profile by downloading the dragonized x64 appimage for that off the github. When I try to run that nothing happens and no error messages.
So Im stuck watching videos on my steam deck not my pc until I can get help with either of the above 2 options or wait for v28 to get a fix.

FireDragon v11.28.0-2 should fix the issue and is availabe in AUR and will be in the garuda repository as soon as the build is done.

Is it out this one?

ps nice Nico  thanks  ( also the working Team for it !!!)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, 0_2 doesnt fix it, youtube still crashing (playing specific videos not just idling on the homepage like before)
Edit: May have been a temporary problem that I somehow fixed by accidentally reinstalling it experimenting with pacman options (I dont know how to linux properly yet  )

I’m also still having the same issue on v11.28.0_2-1, unfortunately. Sitting idle on the YouTube main page does crash it.

Could everyone who still gets this issue please test with a fresh profile by starting FireDragon with firedragon -P and creating a new profile?

I’ll just add to the chorus that I’m unfortunately still getting crashes on youtube with the new build. They occur when a video is actually loading, usually if I’ve hit the play button, and it seems (though this is purely subjective) like it might be a bit more frequent in the case of unloaded tabs that I’ve loaded back in first.

sudo pacman -S firedragon may have somehow fixed it for me by reinstalling it and overwritng? some config file maybe. It stopped crashing for me right after doing this even though I theoretically changed nothing.

i had a crashing Brave browser on yt videos but found out it was on my side a Firmware issue with intel driver. So cant say about Firedragon much but its working here and i didnt updated to 2 actually just seen is a new version out.

Starting with a new profile fixed it for me.

I have to take that back after 20 min firedragon crashed!

Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my system thats preventing the fd 12 beta appimage from working. I have run other gaming related appimages fine without issue.
