Can't boot to Garuda

I installed Garuda KDE version on a partition. Then installed the Garuda cinnamon version on another partition and finally, wiped the partition containing the cinnamon version and installed Mint on that partition.
The problem is, now I can not boot into the KDE version even if its partition is untouched and the boot record that says “garuda” takes me to mint bootloader with no garuda option there.

P.S. during the installation of the three distros, they were using the same partition for efi .

Now, is there any way I can boot back to KDE version instead of reinstalling it from scratch?

Thanks in advance

This is probably due to the fact that you are now using the GRUB of Linux Mint, which is not in btrfs and cannot see Garuda. Or I might have misunderstood the sequence of actions
Use efibootmgr to use by default the GRUB of Garuda, which should be still there available.
It’s easy, search on the internet how to use efibootmgr.
Or you should be able to boot to Garuda changing the boot order in the BIOS.
In the worst case, boot from the garuda live USB and reinstall the grub.
Once in Garuda, the GRUB of Garuda, after a

sudo update-grub

if necessary, will see Mint.

Thanks for your reply.
1- I can not see an entry for garuda anymore in the bios sequence.
2- I can not see an entry for garuda when i use efibootmgr
3- I booted into garuda live usb session and wrote :
sudo update-grub
and got the following error:
/usr/bin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `overlay’.

You can`t update GRUB in the Garuda live USB.
Just reinstall it. With the Garuda Assistant for example.
When done, and if it works and can log onto Garuda, then if Mint is not already seen (it should), you try update-grub.

This is why Garuda does not recommend multi booting with Windows or other Linux distros. It is very well known that the different boot loaders do not play well together.

Users that don’t know how to manage their own multi boot setups should not offload their support issues (that are unrelated to Garuda) onto the backs of the limited number of Garuda support volunteers.

You are a long time Garuda user @lordvoldmort. As such, you should be well aware of Garuda’s policy of not supporting multi-boot boondoggles. If you feel the need to shoot yourself in the foot in the future, please go to another emergency department, as we are not fond of dealing with self inflicted injuries here.

The Garuda forum is here to provide support for Garuda support issues. Please do your own research if you insist on multi-booting.

I am closing this thread, as you really need to learn how to manage your own multi-boot problems if you insist on multi-booting.
