I used a Verbatim 2.0 pendrive with only Legacy enabled and UEFI disabled and Garuda iso booted but doesn't show live environment, same configuration with a Transcend 3.1 doesn't work, but I don't know why.
If I enable UEFI with the Verbatim drive, give same problem of the other pendrive
Yes, with rufus and Windows booted correctly, but with rufus and garuda doesn't worked.
Tried again, now Garuda started with Ventoy, but same as before that not worked, the configuaration is Legacy and UEFI active and Secure Boot not active. Maybe can be any hardware I contacted also the seller. Thanks
When booting Ventoy drive, shows Secure Boot is disabled and open Ventoy with Isos
The problem is if I shutdown or restart the PC from Windows and boot from usbdrive with Garuda iso, the OS doesn't boot. But if I boot from usbdrive booting first from arcolinux then restarting from live distro and then boot from Garuda iso then it starts booting... This is stupid thing.
In case you want to try install regardless.
Like in nearly every Linux boot disk I've seen, there's a GRUB loopback.cfg. These are the instructions I used.
In this case, the procedure would be (assuming the drive is GPT formatted):
put the ISO file somewhere GRUB can read it (I used an ext4 partition on the target drive)
boot some distro (any one should do, I used the old Ubuntu that was there already)
when in GRUB, hit c to enter command line
type the commands in the link (those within menuentry ... { and }, not including those two lines)
of course, replacing the filename with the correct one
confirm and proceed booting (forgot which key, should be in the GRUB screen anyway)
If you get errors, let me know. I only ever used it with the last two Sway ISOs.
If it fails at the end the same way as it currently does, sorry for wasting your time.
Burning a DVD of Garuda and boot with Legacy enabled booted normal. Worked also with Rufus and the Verbatim 2.0 pendrive but not worked with Ventoy.
Not worked with Rufus and Ventoy with the Transcend 3.1 pendrive
