Cannot update the system

Hello everyone,

today I've booted up my computer and no matter what I try, I cannot update the system using sudo update. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,
Same here this morning
I relaunch the garuda-update and It was ok

pacman -Q lib32-libsndfile
lib32-libsndfile 1.0.31-1
pacman -Q libsndfile
libsndfile 1.0.31-1

I only got this error however

installing libsndfile (1.1.0-2) breaks dependency 'libsndfile=1.0.31' required by lib32-libsndfile

I think they will have to adjust lib32-libsndfile in Arch repo...:

Is there any way to update the system w/o the broken package? As you can see from the inxi report, my system wasn't updated for two months because I was in the hospital, and It's getting me nervous.

EDIT: Using garuda-update gives me the same error.

Maybe try sudo pacman -Syu --ignore=libsndfile

Edit: Not sure if you can skip a package with the update command or not which is why I suggest pacman for now.

The only problem in ignoring is that, I just see, it is required by a lot of stuff:
https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/libsndfile/
The bug is (of course) confirmed and assigned to the maintainer.
I don't think it should take much.
That lib32-libsndfile was already flagged out-of-date since a few days :eyes:

Yeah might be best to wait for that package to be fixed but if it screws up when skipping that package just restore a snapshot I guess. No real harm to try it out

Should be fixed now!

Yes, I can confirm that everything is working correctly now.

Thanks for your help!
