Cannot garuda-update, lots of linux-firmware errors

Package installation says FILENAME exists in filesystem; “Failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)”

I can’t install or update a package because I get (something like) this: error: could not prepare transaction error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files) libname: /insert/file/name/here exists in filesystem Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded. You have a lot of files, actually.
After checking a little bit what might have been causing the issue with pacman -Qo /path/to/file, I think you could go for the “I don’t care way” , which, translated in the current implementation of garuda-update, would be:

garuda-update -- --overwrite '*'
