Cannot connect to Garuda from MacBook on the same network

I have recently shifted to a MacBook with Apple Silicon...
I went inside the network section of the finder, there I could see my Windows Server and my Garuda Linux Laptop...
I clicked on my windows server and put in my user credentials and was able to access the windows filesystem...
But when I tried to do it with my linux machine, but it just kept failing...
Failing in the sense the credentials window just moved back and forth, which usually indicates I had put the wrong password...
I have a bunch of commonly used passwords and I tried all of them, but none of them worked...

I am missing something or am I doing it wrong?

What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Maybe to share files from Linux you could setup
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Samba
Or to manage the machine remotely

I have never had mac and I am not sure what service you are using to connect to your garuda machine so take my advice with a grain of salt.

  1. If you have firewall enabled in your garuda system (e.g., UFW) you should check if that's what's blocking the connection. You can look in your journalctl after you tried to make a connection and see if UFW tried to block some connection.

  2. Whatever service you are using to connect mac and windows isn't installed in garuda and you need to either install it or enable it.

You can also upload your journalctl output here if you have trouble understanding it. After you attempt to make a connection do,

journalctl -r -n 500 | tb
