Cairo Dock Blur Stuck after Auto Hide

Ope made a classic newb mistake. My bad!! :grimacing: I'll remember that.

Is this going to be on a normal update or do we, older version users, have to do it manually?

If so, I'm "safe" to do it now?

I have time and ready to "tinker"...

The next ISO they release will have the garuda-dr460nized-next preinstalled, but for now, I had to go and manually install it. I've been tinkering around with several different docks in the meantime trying to get that "right fit".

I plan to merge the -next changes to the regular package once the new release hits, though I still need to think about how to migrate everyone best. Staying on Latte is sadly no option in the long run, therefore making it as smooth as possible is definitely the goal here.

Yeah, I have been having some strange things in Latte already. Like the names of the icons coming to 1/4:th down the screen from top (half of the top half of the screen)... And generally just menus in the wrong place etc.
This with 2 different machines and resetting settings didn't actually help.

So I'll be making the translation now manually...

P.S. Not bad, not bad at all! I can live with this

So this will be a forced change from Latte? If so bad idea. When I made my post above about going to a default panel and 3 blank panels I was testing in Cachy, still Latte in Garuda.

No one is going to force you to use the new panels. If you want to keep using Latte until it is nothing but a pile of ashes you are welcome to do that.

Same could easily be said about Cairo since like I said it's been a dead project LONG before Latte development was ended.

I didn't say the Garuda team was condoning or supporting me using Cairo -- someone asked how my experience was so I shared. Not saying it is the only way since Latte is dead now. It works for me is all. You have complete choice on what to use in Linux. Nobody is forcing you to use Latte or Cairo or Plank or whatever. :slightly_smiling_face:

Dunno if you actually read the development thread - I experienced the breakage myself on kde-git, which contains the changes that are going to stable versions. All dock icons were suddenly no more  I’m not expecting fixes at this point, therefore the decision has been made.
