I searched, but I couldn’t find a clear answer.
The Btrfs defrag.timer is active by default in the Garuda Btrfs file system installed on an SSD.
What do you advise? Should I leave it active or deactivate it?

Here is a link to a response I wrote a while back for a similar question:
The TL;DR would be:
- In the case of Btrfs, there is a performance benefit to moderating fragmentation on the disk, even on an SSD
- The cost of adding a write to the disk for this kind of maintenance is fairly modest compared to years past, as SSDs have grown more robust.
