Not even on the keyboard using Fn + F7/F8?
I once had the same issue with KDE on a Toshiba laptop and solved it with ddcutil
.
Try using ddcutil
(it’s already preinstalled). There’s a GUI for that, install with:
sudo pacman -S ddcui-git
After you’ve installed ddcui-git
, start it in the terminal with sudo rights:
sudo ddcui
In the menu, click on “View” and select “Features”:
Then test whether you can adjust the brightness:
I’m currently using ddcutil
to control the brightness of an external monitor on an Acer laptop, since it doesn’t work with KDE either.
the fn keys works great i can change keyboard lights and the screen too but changing value of the screen brightness wont make a change it stay dim plus on windows when i fresh install it happens too but there’s a software for amd called autudetectinstall i run it and download the driver then my screen flash without screen dim and i can control brightness but in linux theres no such thing like that
I tried ddcui the feature bottumn is not available for me

Finding the problem first will be easy maybe to find a solution I just don’t know why i’m facing this problem
I don’t do laptops, but a quick search seemed to indicate using acpilight settings might be your best bet:
