Bottles simply not working

greetings everyone, after recent installation of garuda now i’m having issues with bottles, at first i tried running it normally, just start it classically it starts right away without any setup, but upon clicking create new bottle absolutely nothing happen, no matter how much i click it

after that i switched to the terminal and used the bottle cli, tried to create the bottle from there, and i got this output

[🔴] × bottles-cli new --bottle-name lghub --environment application

now trying to install lghub through wine is an experiment of mine, piper simply doesn’t offer what i need, but that’s outside the topic

anyhow, since this installation of bottles came preinstalled with the system i thought that perhaps some dependencies were missing, so i spun up octopi and just hit reinstall, and noticed that it asked me to install wine together with it, but, when i tried to install it, it conflicted with wine staging, so it means, i already have wine, so what i did is i uninstaller it and reinstalled it without checking the checkmark on wine, but once again, no success

as a last resort i tried to install bottles through flatpack, although i know it’s unsupported, however… still nothing, it installed just fine, launched it and same thing happened

If you used the flatpak an its still not working. I would post those logs on their(bottles) github. As they only do Support for the flatpak thanks to fedora. Cause the flatpak should just work.

@Yada well… that’s when i installed garuda, i kinda posted the question around 5-6 hours after installation, do i have to restart the os every 2 hours to achive best stability and performance

@elite flatpack did not work indeed but i did manage to get it to work

what worked for me is using the garuda gamer assistant, by installing it from there, it properly installed bottles and allowed me to go forward, of course, as per my expectation, lghub did not work with bottles, but oh well, at least now the software in itself works
