During boot, I always see the message:
setfont: KDFONTOP: Function not implemented
I was unable to find much of anything on it. Here are three (Possibly related) links:

vconsole
This warning isn't emitted at each boot so it probably depends on when `systemd-… vconsole-setup` is called.
According to the following logs:
> $ journalctl -b | grep "i915\|vconsole-setup"

it seems that when i915 driver is taking the console over it deactivates vga console making the console "dummy". If systemd-vconsole-setup is called during this time frame then the warning is emitted.
This warning has been already seen but in a different context : https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/10826#issuecomment-441042451...
Not sure what we should do here, especially since fb driver might not be loaded during very early boot but some (dracut) services might rely on systemd-vconsole-setup to initialize the console in which case this warning is expected and thefore could be downgraded to debug ?

A typical recommendation for this would probably be to ignore or suppress it. I don't have time to dig deeper at the moment so posting this here as a placeholder.

The Arch link you posted seems to cover the topic in great depth. It would appear the font you have chosen is not compatible with use in the console in early user space.
The link gives detailed directions on how to solve this, but it seems like a lot of effort for such a minor annoyance. Feel free to flyatter if you want the learning experience.
