Then don’t update system packages.
Unless you need a new security patch, there is no reason to roll forward, as long as you do a full update when you update your system.

I’m sorry but what does it have to do with it all of the system packages? Are you telling me that one that has the need (for work) to have the latest packages can’t?
Apart from the kernel minor updates there is real need to upgrade packages to the latest, and I’m free to do so.
Also, I asked if any of you has any idea of what the problematic change was, so any other comment is basically useless. On arch we usually have testing or release cycles and this was a release, not the testing one.
Why do you hijack a solved topic?
Maybe open issue on arch.
