Hello, after the recent update that migrates from latte, my blur effect is not working as expected with my other effects.

I downloaded the "TV Glitch [Burn-My-Windows]" Window Open/Close Animation, and prior to updating, when the TV Glitch animates a window opening, blur effect is not applied until the TV Glitch animation ends. But now, I can see a blur square while the TV Glitch is animating. Same with when a window closes, I can now see the blur effect while the TV Glitch effect for closing a window is animating.

Is there any setting to make it behave like how it was prior to the update, which is deactivating the blur while the TV Glitch is animating?

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
It looks like a side effect of the recent KDE plasma 5.27 update. Either for the tool or even kwin maybe.
The KDE store correctly suggests going to the upstream GitHub for issues. It looks like a very active project, so I think they will help.

Hello, thanks for welcoming me here!

I've reported this bug to both Burn-My-Windows' github and KDE Bugtracking System.

I'll report back here for any major updates on the problem.

Thank you!

Well done.
Maybe you could specify in the KDE bug report that you have already reported the issue on the GitHub of the desktop effect developers but they believe this could be a kwin issue.
Otherwise something tells me this would be the first thing KDE developers would suggest .
