Bluetooth audio input stuttery

Hey there,
I'm currently trying to revive on of the things I bought a while back. It's a bluetooth audio transmitter which I'm currently trying to use to stream audio from another device to my bluetooth receiver and into my headphones.

Sadly this audio output is horribly distorted and cuts out all the time as if it had a very bad connection, but that transmitter currently resides just next to my bluetooth dongle.

I tried the arch wiki troubleshooting suggestion, but to no avail (PipeWire - ArchWiki). What else could I do?

Here a sample of what I can hear (this should be a continuous testing tone): https://chonkyrabbit.eu/files/_share/audio-stutter.mp3

Does anyone have an idea what I could try here?
Thanks!
