Autologin xfce

Hello Everyone, I have searched the forum regarding this and could not find a way to get autologin to work , even edited the /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf file as mentioned on other sites. Is it possible to autologin. Please assist.

I don’t use xfce, but I believe that more details on this would help.

Go to System Settings > User accounts, click ā€œUnlockā€ and enter your password, then click the button next to ā€œAutomatic loginā€:
or 2.
Create a file /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf and add the following content:

autologin-user=$user>
autologin-user-timeout=5 

(don’t insert 0)
